I can't believe the year is over! It was a long, hard year for me. CJ had a great third grade year. It helped that he had the same teacher. We are truly going to miss her, and well the whole SPED team. He will have a new social worker, psychologist, and SPED teacher. It will be a year of adjustments.
But now that school has officially started, we are looking forward to the beach, pool, friends and lots of outings. We picked CJ up on the last day of school and headed out for ice cream and a prize (CJ gets a prize if he gets all green on his school behavior chart). Yesterday, the first official day of summer break, I had to go to work for a meeting. So CS and CJ had a pajama day and did what CJ has been looking forward to over the past few weeks....PLAY ALL DAY!!!! Today, we headed to a nearby pool, only to be rained out after an hour of swimming. CJ's remark, "This is running my vacation!" Hopefully the weather won't ruin our whole summer!
Here are some of the activities on our summer bucket list:
* Bluefish game
* Beach
* Pool
* Quassy Amusement Park
* Bronx Zoo
* Fireworks (actually I am still trying to persuade CJ to go)
* Parties at our friends (Camp M)
* Boston (just CS and I)
* Ferry ride
* Liberty Science Center
* Bowling
* Mini Golf
* Picnics
We keep thinking of new activities/places every day. Here's hoping we get to do them all.
